Individual coaching meetings nurture your creativity, boost your confidence, and help you overcome blocks you’re encountering with your writing. In these sessions, we’ll discuss craft elements and you can ask questions about your writing and/or the literary landscape in general. We’ll brainstorm ideas particular to your project, and discuss your writing goals. while planning actionable steps to achieving them. As your mentor, I will become a sounding board and accountability partner in your writing journey. All coaching calls are 30 minutes and take place via Zoom or telephone. Email support is available between sessions. Sessions are either weekly or bi-weekly and three-month commitment is requested.

I offer developmental editing on novels, memoirs, short stories, and essays. My feedback takes a nurturing approach, balancing thoughtful, holistic comments with encouragement. I will delve into your draft to discover its strengths and weaknesses, and provide insightful suggestions for revision. My feedback will be comprehensive, including comments in the margins and an editorial letter (ranging from 2-20 pages depending on the length of your project - whether it’s a story or a full-length manuscript). I’ll provide actionable feedback you can use as a revision roadmap. This detailed editorial letter will address areas such as voice, tone, point of view, characterization, narrative arc/plot, structure, and setting.
